1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Phy Energy ("Phy", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites, dashboards, and checkout and charging pages (together, the "Platform"), across both our Utility Management and EV Charger Management("Phy Charge") experiences. It applies to business customers ("Organisations") and to individual end users ("End Users"), and should be read with our Privacy Policy.
2. What are cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use related technologies such as local storage, session storage, and pixels. We refer to all of these as "cookies" in this policy. Cookies can be "session" cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or "persistent" cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them. They can be set by us ("first-party") or by a third-party service we use ("third-party").
3. Why we use cookies
- to keep you signed in and to keep your session secure across the Platform and API;
- to protect against fraud and abuse and to support tenant isolation between Organisations;
- to remember your preferences, such as language, theme, and cookie choices;
- to process payments and charging session checkouts through our payment provider;
- to understand how the Platform is used so we can fix problems and improve it.
4. Categories of cookies we use
4.1 Strictly necessary
Required for the Platform to work. They enable sign-in, authentication, session continuity, security and CSRF protection, load balancing, and remembering your cookie preferences. These cannot be switched off through our banner because the Platform would not function without them.
4.2 Functional
Remember choices you make, such as language, theme (light or dark), and interface settings, to give you a more personalised experience.
4.3 Analytics and performance
Help us understand usage patterns, page and API performance, and errors, on an aggregated basis, so we can improve the Platform. Where required by law, these are set only with your consent.
4.4 Payment and charging
On payment and EV charging pages, our payment provider may set cookies needed to process the transaction securely, prevent fraud, and comply with card scheme rules.
We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising or to sell your information.

6. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties we use, such as our payment processor on payment and charging pages and our analytics provider. These third parties are responsible for their own cookies, and their use of any data collected is governed by their own privacy and cookie notices.
7. Managing your choices
- Where required, we show a consent banner when you first visit, so you can accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link.
- You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse or remove cookies and warn you before one is set. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Platform, including sign-in, will not work.
- Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" or global privacy signal. Where we are required to honour such a signal, we will; otherwise our behaviour is governed by your consent banner choices.
